CPD HOURS WILL APPLY
-
Learn about the game-changing trends shaping the world of tomorrow today
-
Hear how these trends are not always receiving the crucial attention deserved and required by advisers
-
Hear how our portfolio construction processes recognise and address these trends
The Future-proofing Portfolios Regional Adviser Forum has been created by three global sector-focused boutique fund managers, Insync, Nanuk, and India Avenue, specifically for regional financial advisers.
Each of these well-established managers is rated by leading researchers, is Australian-owned, and is available across most major platforms.

They will explore the key aspects and sectors of the big future trends presently shaping the world of tomorrow, trends that are not always receiving the crucial attention deserved and required by advisers in the coming years.
Part I
The morning kicks off with each manager introducing the big issues that lie ahead and how they are addressing them.

Morning Tea

Part II
A panel discussion with the audience, designed to tease out the challenges investors, and those constructing portfolios, face – going beyond what is typically discussed in our industry.
Part III
Small group conversations with each manager round out the half day. These conversations will address the issues raised, and will be followed by concluding remarks.
Regional centres rarely have the opportunity to experience valuable conversations locally, so we thought it was high time to change this. With your support, we aim to make our Regional Adviser Forums twice-yearly events.
Please feel free to bring a colleague.

Note: this forum will not have fund managers explaining their investment process and funds ad nauseum. We also aim to be ‘PowerPoint light!'

About the Fund Managers...
India Avenue Asset Management was established in 2015. Our view is that India’s equity markets offer the most unique, liquid, and investable growth story in the world today. This provides our investors with significant insight and knowledge to help them successfully navigate the path to investing in the India growth story.
Our partnerships with highly skilled, locally based investment advisers (for stock selection and conviction levels) allow our investors to benefit from their deep knowledge of India’s local ecosystem of company promoters, consumers, producers, employees, suppliers, end-users, and market participants like stockbrokers and regulators. It is impossible in our view to successfully invest in India’s equity markets without access to the local knowledge of practised investment professionals, managing money in the ecosystem for the last few decades.
India’s equity markets are inefficient in our view. This means that actively managed portfolios with exposure to companies of all industries and capitalisation sizes can provide a far broader and more aligned exposure to India’s growth story. https://indiaavenueinvest.com
Nanuk Asset Management was established in 2009 to develop world-leading expertise in the investment opportunities and risks associated with environmental sustainability and resource use efficiency.
Our focus is global and we invest in listed companies associated with the broad themes of clean energy, energy efficiency, industrial efficiency, waste management, pollution control, food & agriculture, advanced & sustainable materials, water, and healthcare technology. We are active, fundamental investors with a valuation-based and research-driven investment approach. We incorporate positive and negative screening, ESG factors, and values-based norms into our decision-making process.
Nanuk is an independent firm, privately owned by its founders. We are committed to investing sustainably and managing responsibly on behalf of our clients. https://www.nanukasset.com
Insync Funds Management (Insync) was founded in 2009. We believe quality businesses rise sustainably over time when their earnings do the same. Searching out this exclusive and hard-to-find group globally is what we do. For us, looking ahead is more important than relying on the past. Central to this is getting a firm view of a company’s Return on Invested Capital (ROIC). Insync has a clever way of identifying those that can strongly grow their ROIC sustainably.
We recognise that global megatrends are creating seismic shifts in demand. Megatrends are powerful forces shaping demand for goods and services. They provide enduring tailwinds that push well-run companies to succeed beyond the market’s expectations. Recognising them not only helps us identify winners, it also helps us avoid tomorrow’s losers.

Change has always been around. What’s different is that the velocity of change is forever accelerating. It’s upending markets and long-held beliefs and rules of how businesses and industries operate. Studying the likely impact of megatrends on industries, and companies is essential to creating future-proof portfolios.
